Lately I’ve become obsessed with Art Journaling. The ability to put color and designs down on paper and not have to “stay inside the lines” has really appealed to me. I am learning to “let go” of structure and just be free with the color and design … and I’m loving it! Below is an art journal page that I made from a Tracy Scott tutorial. Her work is so beautiful and I had so much fun creating this project. The full sheet is comprised of a colorful acrylic background just brushed on, then using her Circles stencil, I added more and more layers in an eye-popping color palette.
I took the final product and cut into 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces to make cards for my moms, sister and daughter for Mother’s Day, but in the end I ran out of time and they became mini artworks instead. They all loved them!
