I don’t know about you, but there are some days when I’m just not feeling that “creative vibe.” You walk into your craft room, sit at your space, and … nothing. You try to come up with something “crafty” but end up pulling out stamp sets only to put them back, grabbing some coordinating DSP and cardstock but then setting them aside, or just giving up and instead organize your space! Yeah, this has happened on one occasion or more for me! lol
Well, Stampin’ Up has the answer to your creative block days – Project Kits! There are several kits to choose from – birthday favors/decorations, banners, and of course cards. This past weekend was one of those “creative block” moments for me, so I pulled out my Watercolor Wishes Card Kit and went to work. This kit is super easy, and fun to make. You get 20 pre-watercolored card bases, die-cuts and embellishments, plus you get a beautiful reusable stamp set, acrylic block, ink spots and a few extra embellishments. You can follow the instructions, which is what I did (hey, remember … creative block?) or add your own personal touch by mixing up the embellishments.
I just love the beautiful watercolors in the card bases.
Let me tell you about this stamp set! Can we say versatile? I just love, love, love all the sentiments in it! They cover just about every sentiment needed to send a personalized card. Personally, I think the best part about this kit is this stamp set! And because you are making the cards, if all you need are birthday cards, then make them all with the birthday sentiment. If you love sending thank you or hello cards, then use just those sentiments.
Tune in next week to see how you can use this stamp set along with Work of Art and Kinda Eclectic to make your own watercolor-like card bases to continue making these beautiful cards!
